Mr. Wilson possesses 30 years of Information Technology experience and over 10 years of Program Management Experience. As an officer in the United States Navy, almost 20 years of duty involved large-scale DoD C3I programs. He has over 12,000 hours as a Naval Flight Officer (NF0) in WV-2, SP2H and P3C aircraft. Mr. Wilson's last significant job in the Navy was that of Commanding Officer of the Navy's Largest Naval Air Facility in Japan. He directed the activities of 9,000 civilian employees, 3,500 Navy dependents and 1,000 Navy uniformed personnel at Atsugi, Japan.
After retirement from the Navy Mr. Wilson served as the Program Manager responsible for the overall operations of the Defense Advanced Research Test Bed Facility and the Advanced High Performance Computing Applications Facility. These jobs were performed for the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA). Under this $24M, five year DARPA project, Mr. Wilson performed the planning, implemented the infrastructure design and construction of the foremost High Performance Computing (HPC) facility in the world. He directed the activities of numerous scientists and systems engineers in support of the HPC mission of solving advanced and complex scientific and mathematical problems.
He oversaw the software development and testing effort for the Army's Transportation Coordinator's Automated Information Movement System II (TC-AIMS II). Mr. Wilson was also involved in drafting comprehensive Statement of Objectives (SOOs) for the Wintara Corporation, an Automated Business Solutions Corporation that conducted administrative work for the Transportation Security Administration. He recently developed a business plan and coordinated with the U.S. Export-Import Bank and business partners in West Africa on a project to develop modernized meat markets in Accra and Kumasi, Ghana.
Based on his DoD and industry experience, Mr. Wilson is well suited to direct, manage and evaluate various activities associated with the support, effective and efficient operation of Governmental and commercial projects. In addition to his career experience, he holds a BS/BA in Mathematics and English and a MBA in Marketing Research and Analysis. He formerly held a Top Secret/SCI clearance, the results of an SBI update in 2001.
