Verle B. Hammond began his professional career in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps, retiring as a colonel after 28 years of service. His military experience included key command and management assignments in all aspects of logistics and weapons systems acquisition. He served five years at the U.S. Army Materiel Command in ADP Systems Development, Systems Integration, ADP Networking, Logistics Management and Integrated Logistics Support. Mr. Hammond founded INNOLOG after serving as Senior Vice President and Director of Operations for McLean-based Innovative Technology, Inc. (ITI). During his five years at ITI, revenue from Army sources increased an average of 338% per year.
In 1998, Mr. Hammond was selected as one of the McDonald's Corporation's "Black History Makers of Today," and also received a "Corporate Award" from the Northern Virginia Urban League. This past year, Mr. Hammond was appointed to the University of DC Board of Trustees, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Parren J. Mitchell Foundation and will be inducted to the Florida State College of Business 2006 Hall of Fame in April. He holds an MBA specializing in operations research and systems analysis from Florida State University (Tallahassee), and an undergraduate degree in mathematics and physics from Florida A&M University.
